Naked body, bath and hair products were borne out of one mum’s desire to create gorgeous yet affordable natural products, free from sulphates, parabens, phthalates and petrochemicals.
Naked products are 97% natural. It’s not about being ‘worthy’, but about giving people the choice as to whether or not they want to put what some consider unnecessary ingredients, onto - and into - their skin.
So that’s what isn’t in the products; better yet, the active natural extracts that are included are considered the best at what they do. For example, cocoa butter for moisturising, sunflower for sun damage protection and purest rose for its anti-ageing properties.
At launch in 2005 there were 12 Naked products. Today, following a strong programme of product development, there are 49 Naked bath, body, skincare and hair products within the range, at an average price point of £3.99.
Along with the product range, the brand proposition has also extended to include a strong ethical stance; supporting green charities such as The Woodland Trust and the Rainforest Foundation, and using packaging and promotional materials made from recycled packaging wherever possible.
